Let me tell you from the start how I became Miss Amarantha La Blanche!

I was born on the 7th of July in 1986, in Arnhem (The Netherlands).
I've always been a special person that wanted to be on stage and was right there to perform my acts.
On monthly schoolevents such as talentshows I appeared every single month with a brand new act, over and over again. From imitating the Spice Girls, doing a funny theatreplay to performing gymnastic arts, anything to get me there.

At the same time I was the shy girl which never dared to open up and speak her mind.
The reason was quite obvious:
I just didn't seem to fit in.
All I lived for those years were my sports; baton-twirling, gymnastics, dancing and ballet.
It was my way to express myself to the world, the only way to let this shy girl show her true and special side.

When I went to high-school, I decided to start off on a different tack.
I finally dared to be myself, to dress how I felt and act like I wanted to act.
That was pretty shocking to most people who knew me, people considered me "extreme"
and “strange” or at least “special".
From some punkrock, mohawks,  baggy pants and spikes I jumped to fat black make-up and too short skirts.
(in my opinion a skirt can never be too short though!)
Welcome to the gothic-scene, where heels couldn't be high enough, and the amount of PVC in my closet was growing out of hands.
I went to every possible Industrial or gothicparty around.
All this under the veil of secrecy since my parents wouldn't let me go.

But finally tides turned. This other day I've met my friend Kenny, which I virtually knew from several webcommunities.
I had a job in a gothic-store where he suddenly dropped by to nose around.
We had a lot of fun talking and became "real life" friends too.
He was an aspiring photographer working on his Photography study and needed someone to model. If I wanted to his model!? Sure!
Now what's more comfortable than having your friend as photographer?
We took some shots which actually turned out pretty well,
and for the first time I felt good about them.
Finally I could say an image was nice without being disappointed.
Like real addicts we locked ourselves up in his studio, and did a bunch of shoots. This way I worked on my experience, my confidence and my portfolio.

Next thing I realised  was that I needed a makeover, since I wasn't so much into that gothic phase anymore. My looks did no longer fit to my personality.
I was changing already anyways, inside and outside.
Actually there never was a radical makeover, no different haircut or make up. Just some sexy brandnew clothes, confidence and some class!
I've given my whole wardrobe away to friends and people around me, while I didn't really have anything left to wear myself anymore.
What you guys wouldn't mind at all eh? Come on...
I didn't care, I now explored the beautifull realm of burlesque!
Piece by piece I collected my new and awesome wardrobe, meanwhile discovering a new me, and found the very true person that was hidden deep inside.

With my new look I explored the fetish-scene, meeting a lot of new people.
A friend frequently performed for Breathcatchers and asked me to join.
I was very exhilarated from the start, doing a fetish show would be so cool!
We went to Guillaume from breathcatchers and he offered me a spot in his performance-group. The first performance was a success, so I was allowed to stay in their group ;) Already the very next performance, my second show éver/I was performing on Nuit Demonia-Paris.
I was so amazed by the adrenaline and all the things I felt, I wanted MORE!
I decided to take a step and create my own Fetish and Burlesque shows on extremely high speed.
They were quite small but opened several doors to the future.
I've done many performances in a short period of time.
I tried to put my name on the map, and succeeded pretty good!

After doing many photo shoots, I came in touch with Me-Chiel and Lexie Molotoff. They were on a party where I shared the backstage with Ancilla Tilia. From the moment we met it clicked and had a lot of fun.
As you might expect the fact that those guys kidnapped me to their studio a few weeks later and did a couple of shoots with me.
Those shoots turned out very well, and I had enough material to fill my portfolio again.! After these great shots it was definetely time to improve and delete old stuff.

I did a lot of shootings on high speed with Peter Diablow and Me-Chiel as my coolest friend-photographers, and came up with incredible new stuff.

In the meantime my career as performer only grew bigger, I was now booked for a couple of shows a week.
And no, we're not talking about the same old small performances.

Thanks to my growing network I got a lot of opportunities and did the most amazing stuff I've ever wished for. I've seen many countries, and do exactly that thing that I've always secretly dreamt of.
I can proudly tell you that I've grown as a whole person, and finally feel alive, enjoying every second of it.
I have two photographer side-kicks and an amazing makeup artist/stylist that make any idea come true, when we make up a concept sometimes we will be shooting it the next day.
Let's say I've found my dreamteam!
